Currently, she manages content and client engagement strategy at Equitable, focusing on distilling financial planning concepts into motivated action, client empowerment and tailored solutions.
The focus of Shaw’s career has been to enhance client outcomes and ROI by improving customer experiences, streamlining processes and developing innovative products. As an executive benefits consultant, she played an integral role in the development and launch of 401kSecure, a patented solution for safeguarding retirement savings against the risk of contribution disruptions due to disabling events. She is known for delivering strategic growth and sustainable outcomes in complex environments.
True to her interests and passions, Shaw is involved with organizations bringing access to resources that make life easier, including serving as board chair of the Immune Deficiency Foundation, board director for IPOPI (International Patient Organisation for Primary Immunodeficiencies) and immediate past board chair of SCORE Association. She holds an MBA from Western Connecticut State University and a Ph.D. in organizational leadership from Adler University, with her research focusing on supporting diverse supplier small businesses for long-term success.
A passionate advocate for those living in complex medical circumstances, Shaw is a solo mother to her daughter, who lives with primary immunodeficiency (PI) disease. They work together to raise awareness and improve resources for those living with rare diseases, especially PI. She is known for bridging strategic vision and tangible impact, empowering people and organizations to thrive..
