Vice President, Organizational Effectiveness and Operations
Nate Byford serves as NEFE’s vice president of organizational effectiveness & operations. In this role, he leads efforts to drive operational excellence, foster employee engagement and ensure that cross-functional strategies align with NEFE’s broader mission. His forward-thinking approach for managing change strategically, efficiently and practically sets the stage for strengthening NEFE’s impact in financial education and advocacy.
Prior to joining NEFE, Nate was vice president of people operations at the Zuri Group in Denver, where he played a pivotal role in implementing innovative change management strategies and enhancing organizational development. His experience also includes key positions at the University of Colorado and Employers Council, where he honed his skills in optimizing performance and aligning business operations with regulatory standards. Nate’s proven track record in streamlining processes and cultivating a culture of excellence will be instrumental in driving NEFE’s next phase of growth.
Nate holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver and earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Northern Colorado. Deeply connected to NEFE’s mission on a personal level, Nate believes that financial education has the power to transform lives—a conviction rooted in his own family history. In his free time, Nate enjoys exploring new ways to engage with his community, hiking, and spending quality time with his family.
