Chief of Staff
Brian Ford, M.Ed., serves as NEFE’s chief of staff, supporting the president and CEO, as well as leading the organization’s executive department. The executive department is responsible for strategic planning, tracking and reporting, executive operations, media and executive engagement, and board governance.
Brian joined the NEFE team full time in 2021. His previous roles include a position as director of development for a North Carolina-based nonprofit and a project manager and strategy consultant at Credo LLC in the areas of strategic planning, presidential coaching, leadership retreat facilitation, board development and education, and advancement. In addition, he has experience in staff training and development, conference presentations and planning large-scale events.
Brian earned his master’s in education from Clemson University and his bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He currently resides in Wilmington, North Carolina. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, surfing, teaching yoga, and spending as much time as possible with his “fur children” - Wilson and Lily.
