Testimony
On June 16, 2010, past NEFE President and CEO Ted Beck testified at a hearing before the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging titled “The Retirement Challenge: Making Savings Last a Lifetime.” Beck described NEFE’s initiatives and how they provide a holistic model for preparing for, and managing, income in retirement. On June 25, 2009, NEFE Senior Director Brent Neiser delivered testimony before the U.S. House Financial Services Subcommittee hearing on “Improving Consumer Financial Literacy under the New Regulatory System.” On June 26, 2008, Neiser also testified at a hearing of the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit on “Problem Credit Card Practices Affecting Students.”
On September 28, 2006, past NEFE President and CEO Ted Beck spoke before a U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on “Improving Financial Literacy: Working Together to Develop Private Sector Coordination and Solutions.”

Task Forces and Commissions
Past NEFE President and CEO Ted Beck appointed as Council member and chair of research and evaluation subcommittee. The 15-member bipartisan Council presented its final report of recommendations to President Obama on February 19, 2013. Click here for more on the Council.
