NEFE hosted the Higher Education Financial Capability Forum December 3-4, 2018 in Denver, CO. The forum included presentations of two NEFE-funded research studies and a discussion of implications and future actions in financial education. Videos for each presentation are linked below:

- The Effects of State Mandated Financial Education on College Financing Behaviors, presented by Carly Urban, Ph.D., and Christiana Stoddard, Ph.D., Montana State University
Katherine Sauer, Ph.D., facilitated the discussion covering findings from Montana State University and Ohio State University research, successes and barriers in postsecondary financial education, needs for future research, and broader themes in financial capability for young Americans.
Thirty-four invited experts representing diverse roles and levels of experience contributed to the discussion. In addition to researchers, attendees also included front-line practitioners, government representatives, financial education innovators, and postsecondary educators and administrators representing individual institutions, small community college districts and statewide community college systems, and state and national specialized boards and organizations.
